Happy National Dog Day!
Here at DogLog, our mission is to help dog owners keep their pets healthy and happy. That’s why we love National Dog Day and everything it stands for.
National Dog Day (August 26th) celebrates all dogs and recognizes the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year.
We want to acknowledge family dogs and working dogs that save lives, keep us safe and bring us comfort every day. This year when many people are socially distancing and spending more time at home, our pets deserve even more love and praise for how they uplift our spirits.
To help you celebrate your dogs on National Dog Day and every day after, here are fun activities you can do:
- Adopt a dog from a rescue shelter in your local area. Want to find a dog? Check out this website!
- Make a donation of food, toys or even blankets to a dog rescue shelter or organization.
- Dog-proof your house so that there is nothing dangerous in your house that your dog could get their paws on. This is especially important if you have a curious puppy. Get tips here.
- Buy your dog a fun new dog toy….or two…or five (our Cali is very spoiled.)
- Bake your dog a pet-friendly treat.
- Take your dog somewhere he can have fun, run around and work off some energy. Looking to find new dog parks? Check out this website!
- Give your dog a long massage.
- Teach your dog a new trick.
- Hire a professional pet photographer for a fun photo shoot.
- Track your dog’s activities, medicines, appointments, and more with DogLog App.
